Jamming For Fun Without The Hassle of Bad Notes

If you have a gift recipient who is interested in playing the guitar, the Strumstick is a kick-ass way to have some fun! (this is an amazing gift for guitar players of any skill level – you don’t have to worry about whether or not they are beginners or advanced guitar players because the Strumstick is about having fun and hanging out; remember this when Christmas roll around!)

The No Wrong Notes Strumstick. The No Wrong Notes Strumstick.

Requiring no prior musical training, this is the 29″ long, three-stringed instrument immediately playable by beginners. It uses the unique, diatonic fretting of an Appalachian dulcimer, tuned in a drone relationship such that there are no wrong notes. A major scale is played by simply fretting just one string and strumming like a guitar. The pitch range is 2 1/2 octaves and the sound is similar to a banjo and mandolin. The included instructional DVD guides players step-by-step through two- and three-string melodies, as well as folk classics such as Will the Circle Be Unbroken and This Land is Your Land. Handmade in the U.S., the body and neck are African padouk hardwood, the soundboard is spruce, and the back is maple. Includes carrying bag. 29 1/2″ L x 4″ W x 1″ D. (5 lbs.)

@ Hammacher Schlemmer, $199.95 (or under)
