Private Ninja Lessons!!! Why Can’t I Live in Bronxville, NY?!?
Jun 4th
Why, oh why can’t I live in Bronxville, New York? It would be a dream come true to take Private Ninja Lessons from a true master. Even if I didn’t receive this as a gift for Father’s Day or my birthday, I would certainly convince my wife the $180 was a good investment in home protection and stealth investigations.

Private Ninja Lessons |
Description:
Learn the secrets of ancient martial arts and the mysterious ninja warriors with one of New York’ oldest Bujinkan schools, affiliated with Bujinkan Hombu Dojo in Japan since the early 1980′s.These legendary combat methods teach effective methods of self-protection using elusive timing, control of distance and subtle angling, i.e. like how to avoid the assault of a sword. Learn from an actual Shidoshi (teacher of the warrior ways) about the history, tradition and philosophy of these night tigers before practicing their self-defense, heightened awareness and combat strategy methods. These lessons are a great compliment to existing martial art experience. The opportunity to use weapons in this class is on a case to case scenario and under the sole discretion of the instructor. After this session with our experienced ninja instructor you will better understand the mystery and power that surrounds this 900-year-old martial art. What martial arts are taught? Your Ninja Lesson is based on the martial art of ninjutsu also, called budo taijutsu. Budo taijutsu uses relaxed, natural movement, timing and control of distance to overcome an opponent’s speed and strength. Movement is refined for grace and naturalness in all action until power results from mere movement, and evasion from a simple adjustment of position. Weaponry, striking, grappling, choking and throwing as well as methods of leaping and rolling are all disciplines that are incorporated into our curriculum. This training is one of the rare martial arts undiluted by emphasis on sport competition or artificial rules. Our training emphasizes shiken gata – combat survival techniques.
$5 Gift Ideas! Courtesy of Fiverr.
May 5th
I’ve recently become addicted to using Fiverr.com for some guerrilla marketing stuff. For some reason I just noticed the “Gift Ideas” section of the site (see image below, and visit the category here). I think that the image I captured of the Gift Ideas page says it all – fun, unique, small gift ideas for 5 bucks!
(Oh, the image here doesn’t show you one of my favorites – “I will write and record a TV sitcom theme song about your life for $5“)

Remember That One Night Under the Stars? Well, She Does!
Mar 18th
I’m going to suggest this particular gift idea for the guys. Sure, the ladies could definitely give this one to their fellas, but it might not have the same impact as the man saying:
“Yes, I remember that night perfectly. In fact, I know the exact coordinates of where we were, and what the weather patterns were, and every detail about which pretty little stars shone the brightest!”
Indigo Night has the perfect gift for that guy:

| How it works: Give Indigo the date and location (on the website). They will recreate a picture of that night sky just as it appeared. Add a message, let them know how romantic and thoughtful you are. Choose a horizon illustration from an extensive image library. Voila! The most romantic gift ever! |
Read a bit about the history of Indigo Night’s product, and the people behind it.
Give the Gift of Memories
Mar 7th
It’s a wonderful world these days where it is now sooooo easy to organize your photos and publish your own photo book full of memories.

Giving a custom-made, personalized photo book is a fantastic gift, and practically guaranteed to WOW!! the recipient.
Unless, you don’t take great pictures, or if slap something together as quickly as possible, or the person receiving the photo book doesn’t like the memories you are presenting….
There are so many occasions that fit this kind of present – anniversaries, graduations, birthdays, thank-you’s, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day (maybe), and even just-because.
Most people already have their own personal favorite photo-sharing website, but here’s a quick list just in case you don’t have a favorite yet:

For a twist on giving the gift of photo memories, you might look at creating an online video out of your pics:
