High End Gifts for the Wealthy
Give Someone the Gift of Charity…That’s Unique!
Apr 2nd
Changing the Present is an absolutely wonderful site dedicated to helping those around the world who are less fortunate.
They are a non-profit organization offering people the opportunity to buy ‘gifts’ for others. Each gift listed on the site is dedicated to a specific cause or organization. They have everything from ‘Feed a Family‘ ($75 buys two weeks of food) to ‘Save an Elephant‘ ($15 provides one hour of student research) to ‘Unite for Sight‘ ($60 covers the cost of one surgery). They even have Facebook gifts!
This really is a great site and an even better gift idea. Not sure what charity someone you know would be interested in? Part of the reason we like the site so much (aside from the good-natured aspect of it) is they also provide a ‘gift ideas’ section for those who are unsure of what to choose. You can search by person, occasion and even price.
Visit Changing the Present and give someone you know the gift of charity.
David Beckham Gave His Wife a Rare, Signed Fashion Book
Mar 21st
In December 2007 (Christmas Day actually), Michelle Cheplic reported that David Beckham gave his wife (Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham) a very unique present – a fashion book, titled Valentino Garavani: First Name in Fashion. Michelle’s blog entry was titled Holly Jolly Celebrity Gifts–Spice Girl Style.
There are only 2,ooo copies of the book, and Becks spent $1,500 on the gift.
Because the book is rare, there are only a few places you can purchase the book. As of today, it looks like there are 13 copies available on Amazon.uk (priced at £750.00 each). You might also have luck searching on ebay to see if anyone is selling a copy.
Outdoor Home Theater Systems Make Any Man Smile
Mar 20th
What would make you the perfect wife, girlfriend or kid? Well I am no expert but I am pretty sure it would involve giving the man in your life an “Outdoor Home Theater System.”
I don’t know how well it works or how feasible it is but it looks really awesome. And for $999 it seems like a good deal.
Here is part of the description from Amazon:
“Inflatable home theater screen and your own projector let you create a ‘drive-in’ experience right in your own backyard. Big, weatherproof 8-ft. screen inflates in just 4 minutes with the powered air pump. Connect the two weatherized outdoor amplified speakers with full range sound and you’re ready to watch a movie or the big game with your family or friends.”
Just think…A beautiful spring day, grilling outside, drinking a few beverages and watching a baseball game on your outdoor theater. Now that sounds like a day any guy would like…and MsGift too.

JT Gave Jessica & Cameron Custom Surfboards and Sex Wax
Mar 20th
Back in November 2007, Celebitchy reported that “Justin Timberlake gave Jessica Biel the same gift he gave to Cameron” (Cameron Diaz, of course).
The gift in question was a combination of a custom surfboard from Evolution Surf and a year’s supply of Mr. Zog’s Sex Wax (that’s just wax for a surfboard!).

While I guess it’s not cool to give the same gift to two different girlfriends, the gift idea itself was unique (the first time). And, Evolution Surf has high-end, in-demand products, with a great list of celebs providing testimonials on its site, including:
- Drew Barrymore
- Jennifer Aniston
- Mark RufFalo
- Adam Sandler
- Uma Thurman
- Leonard DiCaprio
- Tyra Banks
- Rob Schneider (where goes Adam, so does Rob! Rob, I’m a fan, so sorry for the snide comment)
- Pierce Brosnan
- Jack Nicholson
- …you get the point…
| LX.TV produced a nice video highlighting Evolution Surfboards, titled the evolution of surfing starts with design (see below) |
