Unique T-Shirts for Unique People

Posted by giftguy, Jul 21st, 2009

Everyone is special. And we all have our own tastes. You probably know someone who likes fashion, has their own style, and would love to have an item of clothing that is unique. Finroo recruits artists to put their artwork up on the site and only 100 shirts of each piece of art is ever printed (in other words, these are limited edition t-shirts!).

Give someone the gift of a Limited Edition T-Shirt!

There are many, many more unique t-shirts at Finroo, and I’m sure you can either find the perfect t-shirt gift or get a gift certificate to let your gift recipient pick one out themselves.

Jenny McLain, owner of Jenny’s Gifts and Fine Art, contacted us awhile back to suggest her line of Diva Hairbrushes as unique gifts.  I immediately thought that these brushes would be a great way to give the women in your life a daily dose of artistic pleasure. (Jenny, I apologize that it took me so long to write this post!!).

The brushes make a very affordable gift (at only $10 apiece!). Whether you give a Diva Hairbrush as a standalone gift, or put it into a gift basket, the present is something the gift recipient will appreciate every day! (I personally think they would also make a great stocking stuffer at Christmas!)

The artwork is all ORIGINAL, and crafted by acclaimed artist Malenda Trick. You can also visit Malenda’s website to learn more about her, see her online gallery, see where she will be attending art shows, and even send a free e-card (and there is a great selection of cards to choose from!).

snowglobe.jpgTo some, snow globes are those gifts you get and think, “Now what do I do with this?”.  But to others they are fun to collect and can be gazed upon for hours.

While snow globes aren’t exactly unique unto themselves, there are some pretty awesome/hilarious ones that are.

Martin & Munoz have created a line of hand-crafted snow globes featuring scenes you would not typically find in a snow globe.  For instance, the travelers collection contains scenes of a man with a giant spider behind him or a kid being held over a well by one foot.  There is an island scene with people walking on stilts and another of a man being held at gunpoint. They are really quite interesting and make you think about what you are seeing.

They also are limited in numbers and hard to find.  I did come across some at Unica Home but I am not sure of the availability.  A warning, these aren’t your typical snow globes in looks or price.  Each one will run you about $750!  Here are some additional ones:

ring-club-option-copy.jpgRobyn Klauer from Georgie Designs contacted us about a great gift idea her site offers. We all know about fruit of the month, wine of the month and book of the month clubs…but how about a Ring of the Month club!?

Available in 3, 6 and 12 month options, this is a great idea for someone who is into jewelry (or even better, order it for yourself and give away the ones you don’t want!).

Each ring is handcrafted and sent in a beautiful package featuring the ring of your choice. Not sure of the recipients ring size? Georgie Designs will send a gift card notification beforehand along with a ring sizer for them to email or call back with. Then they will have their ring in 1-2 weeks. Perfect!

The prices are reasonable for handcrafted jewelry with the 3-month club at $128, 6-months for $256 and 12-months ranging from $498-$558 (choice of silver or gold).

Go visit the site today and sign-up for the ring of the month club…remember, jewelry is always a great gift!

(Maybe a cool gift for Mother’s Day?)

Friday Finds from the Gift World

Posted by MsGift, Jun 06th, 2008

I am feeling lazy today so I thought I would point you toward some great gifts other people are talking about:

  • Art lovers take notice. Shawn at Everything and Nothing has the ‘Most Beautiful Book in the World‘. This $150,000 book titled Michelangelo: La Dotta Mano features photos of Michelangelo’s works.
  • Kristin at Cool Mom Picks has a really cool ‘Baby Makes Three Necklace‘. The necklace contains three rings held together on a cable chain. This would make a great gift for the expecting mother!
  • Know someone in your life who is just a little TOO paranoid? The Hidden Camera Detector they have over at Kaboodle would be a good solution. For $25 you can put someone’s mind at ease that there are no hidden cameras in their house.
  • Violet has these Wobbly Cognac Glasses that would make a great gift for the alcohol aficionado in your life. They look fun and I bet I could spend hours watching it wobble around.

All right that’s the round-up. Have a great weekend fellow gift givers!
